The product description alludes to a website where one can answer the questions more like in the real exam. I didn't find any links to this website in the Kindle book. Good general questions. You have to cover the answers with your hand or thumb. I'll update this review once I take the exam.Update: Missing test site no withstanding, this was a good prep. I passed with an 855 first try with competencies in all areas. Good prep.
material is great, but I have a basic problem with the format: multiple choice questions followed immediately by the answer. That makes it hard to use the book to check your knowledge of AWS! I see that Kindle has a flashcard feature. I created my own flashcards, but why isn't one included? Adding flashcards of the questions and answers would up my rating to 5 stars. I did not take the AWS training, and I used this study guide to successfully pass the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam!
I bought this book, read it, and took the test the next day.I passed the test, but not because of this book. This book is VERY poor quality: Repeated questions, the occasional wring answer, and most (all?) of the "explanations" are copied-and-pasted from the AWS website (which you can read for free). Further, the materials in this book are only useful for maybe 20% of the test. There were A LOT of questions on the test that this book doesn't cover, even a little bit.
questions repeat, answers are wrong in places. Q6 & Q73 same question with same wrong answer. I am seeing many questions repeat or be reworded after about 70 questions into the content I am only about 100 questions in at this point. What others have said about the answer being right next to the question defeats the purpose to me, I would rather see an answer key perhaps. Other than that the questions seem relevant to course.
This book covers a good portion of the material, however its formatting is terrible on Kindle. You have to cover up the answers with your hand or move the page constantly. Also I'm not sure this was entirely written by someone with proficient English skills as that the wording is very strange and the book's correct answers are definitely not the correct answer when comparing with AWS's site content. There are also a lot of repeating questions, (almost word for word) which is a bit annoying.However, it does cover other AWS services that aren't mentioned in the free AWS online training videos. I have yet to take the test, but this book made the practice questions a breeze and I'm rarely getting any wrong.I highly suggest creating an answer bank to document your answers in as well as a notebook to track acronyms and areas to research more on AWS's site while you go through this book.
As others have mentioned, there are many repeated questions on this 'exam dump'. What I found most troubling is that hardly any of them were even on the actual exam when I took it a few months ago. Fortunately I had also use AWS own training material and my Linux Academy subscription came in handy for preparing for the test. Do not rely solely on this book or you'll be disappointed.
As a newbie to AWS, I found this book very helpful. The questions were testing how much you know about the services and how and when to apply them, I learned quite a lot from this book.Thank you and all the best
I wouldn't expect word by word questions but somehow it'll prepare you i said SOMEHOW. the question in this book is a way to easy so if you're thinking of just doing these questions and sit for the exam DON'T DO IT. you have to study for the exam. I don't want you to think that the exam is impossible to pass, It's not, all you have to do is be prepared. the questions are very tricky. I question here in this book is straight forward but the questions in the exam are very tricky. I mean I am studying for my AWS: Solutions Architect and I read the official guide and watched Acloudguru's videos those are the resources that helped me pass AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.Best of luck...
